With a roster of electronic musicians and DJs from across the world, for their range of apparel and accessories, Butter Sessions look back to their original stomping ground for collaborative relationships to bring their wares to life: the Naarm (Melbourne) dance music underground. Proudly championing artist, designer, and maker friends, BSR have never been ones to promote singularity in creative pursuits. Nor are their collaborations geared in any way towards hype; they are relationships that speak to a past and future in shared creative and physical spaces.
This latest instalment from the Naarm/Melbourne-based collective was created to celebrate 10 years of Butter Sessions. Over the last decade, collaboration has come to form the backbone of Butter Sessions’ project, leading to a close-knit community fiercely loyal to their local scene. Here’s to ten more years of the Naarm/Melbourne underground.
The Butter Sessions 10 Years of BSR Tee celebrates the label’s 10-year anniversary with single-colour graphic prints designed by artist Maryos Syawish on the front and back of a black short-sleeve tee. The front depicts a cosmic dance scene, captioned with the words “audio and visual energy systems” and the back is printed with the words “Strange Sounds Strange People” created from Tetris-like blocks. Cut from preshrunk, super heavyweight cotton jersey this tee also features a snug ribbed crew neckline and a relaxed fit.
Made from 100% cotton.
