Since moving the label to Japan, Tokyo-based Boys Co Ltd have reinvigorated Danton, inflecting inherited 20th-century French workwear shapes in a contemporary Japanese idiom. Many of the label’s most recent collections riff on the label’s workwear pedigree, playfully engaging notions of work and leisure.
The Danton Women’s Narrow Corduroy Easy Pants 2540 in Dark Grey continue this project. These Easy pants may be more play than work, particularly given the soft corduroy fabric, yet they retain subtle workwear elements: the loose but tapered leg; visible pocket stitching; and overall understated, utility-focused design. Everything here serves a purpose. Cut from soft cotton-polyurethane-blend corduroy, these pants also feature an elasticated waistband with adjustable drawstring, side seam pockets with stitching detail, back patch pocket with embroidered appliqué Danton label, and a cropped leg.
Made in Japan from 97% cotton, 3% polyurethane.
Model is 172cm and wears size 36.
