In May of this turbulent year, Paloma wool charmed the fashion world with their “virtual runway,” the result of a call-out made on Instagram to anyone willing to sport their Paloma Wool garments and turn their garden, porch, verandah, bedroom, or living room into a runway. The light-hearted spirit and inclusive attitude behind the initiative helped further consolidate Paloma Wool’s dedicated online community of creative people—largely women—around the world, such that the label has withstood much of the economic pressure of the COVID crisis.
This most recent instalment of the ongoing project from the Barcelona-based label shows us how the label amassed such a close-knit following in the first place. Whether delicately evocative graphic prints or knitted psychedelic swirls, Paloma Wool always seem to find a way to weave a gentle sense of wonder throughout their pieces. The new range presents us with a selection of the label’s coveted knitwear items, silky lyocell tops adorned with intoxicating patterns, vintage-inspired pants, and more, all made in Spain and Portugal from the highest quality alpaca, wool, lyocell, and, of course, organic cotton.
Paloma Wool’s fitted long-sleeve t-shirts have become something of a signature for the Barcelona label. The perfect vehicles for the label’s fondness of softened psychedelic patterns and exquisite colour palettes constructed from soft, light cotton rib or silky lyocell, these tops are also coveted for their versatility: perfect for both striking layering and wearing as a bold single layer during the warmer months.
The Bonneville Top forms part of this collection’s range of fitted tops cut from super-soft, organic cotton jersey rib with a slightly transparent finish. This fitted top features a stunning psychedelic all-over pattern designed by Barcelona-based decorative painter Zaida Sabatés. This long-sleeve t-shirt also features exposed overlock seams and a wide, rounded neckline.
