In a year marred by colossal uncertainty, we’ve never needed people to say it straight more than now. In 2020, facts are key. It is in no way controversial to say that Los Angeles-based label Pleasures have never been ones for subtlety. For this reason, the title of Alex James and Vlad Elkin’s label’s most recent collection, “metaphorically speaking,” is kind of confusing. With pieces featuring slogans that initially strike with the force of political declaration, we’re left looking for more. In short, Pleasures are fucking with us. Some things really are still business as usual.
Over their 5 year history, Pleasures have developed a keen eye for forward-thinking collaborations. One of their highlight accessories for the season comes thanks to a collaboration with Vancouver-based bag-makers Taikan. The Pleasures x Taikan Sacoche Bag is a versatile shoulder bag constructed from travel-ready nylon. Unlikely to amuse airport security, this bag features an x-ray print across the face. Other features include a front compartment with zip closure, main compartment with snap closure, internal mesh pockets, an adjustable shoulder strap, and a woven Taikan flag label at the side seam.
Made in the USA from 100% nylon.
