Few 90s pop culture figures were as controversial as Marilyn Manson. Hailing from the southern state of Florida, Marilyn Manson, the band and its leading figure, drew the ire of conservatives across America for their sacrilegious lyrics that some claimed promoted drug-use and violence. At one point, three US states even passed legislation banning them from performing at state-owned venues.
Given their own propensity for courting controversy, it is easy to see why Alex James and Vlad Elkin, founders of LA-based label Pleasures, would be drawn to such a figure. This long-awaited collaboration represents the latest in a long line of collaborations with cult musicians.
The Pleasures x Marilyn Manson Manson Button-Down in Black is a classic short sleeve shirt featuring the iconic photograph of Manson that appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in 1997 printed as a triptych in reference to biblical imagery. Other features include front button closure, regular collar, shirt hem, and Pleasures branding printed on the back.
Made from 100% polyester.
