Influenced by founder Pierre Boiselle’s love of good food and wine and determined to celebrate the pivotal role of restaurants in our social worlds Lyon-based label Reception has always been about good times. As the story goes, the idea for the label was first conceived of while Boiselle and his wife were on a trip to New York, sitting at one of the couple’s favourite bars.
Entitled Born Curious, Stay Curious, this season’s collection is influenced by Boiselle’s travels to another US city: Los Angeles. Celebrating the city of dreams in all its excess, the collection also gestures towards a sense of American innocence, road films and imagery of the American West.
Evoking the imagery of 60s and 70s California, the Reception Bowling LS Flannel Shirt is a long-sleeve shirt paying homage to two classic American shirt styles: the bowling shirt and the flannel. Constructed from Japanese dark navy houndstooth, this shirt features an open collar inspired by the bowling alleys of middle America; one patch pocket on the chest; front button closure; a vertical back yoke; slightly curved hem; cuffs with packets and button closure; and a large embroidered graphic on the back reminiscent of Grateful Dead memorabilia and the rebellious spirit of the California Republic of yesteryear.
Made in Portugal from 100% cotton.
