Influenced by founder Pierre Boiselle’s love of good food and wine, and determined to celebrate the pivotal role of restaurants in our social worlds, Lyon-based label Reception has always been about good times. The label first gained prominence thanks to a series of tees celebrating the label’s favourite eateries around the world, paying homage to restaurants from Brazil to France to Greece. These tees attest to the local specificity of such establishments, proudly sporting their addresses on the chest.
The Reception Pulp LS Tee in Black is no dedicated to an eatery, but a nightclub: Pulp in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. Toperating from 1997 until 2007, Pulp was a lesbian club home to some of the most respected resident DJs in the French capital during that period. The fact that it is still remembered and revered attests to the institutions lasting effect on Parisian nightlife and club culture. This tee pays tribute to the club with two small graphic prints on the chest, one listing what was once the club’s address, the other a rainbow cross wit the words ‘in loving memory.’ The back displays a large graphic print of a woman holding up a large disco ball in replication of Hercules holding carrying the world. Other features include ribbed cuffs & crew neckline.
