The WTAPS Modular Jacket has quickly become not only one of the Japanese label’s most coveted items season after season but also in the streetwear world more broadly. It is not difficult to see its appeal, embodying as it does the military-influenced stylized utility for which the label has become known. This new iteration of the WTAPS classic is constructed from a unique cotton-nylon blend fabric, ‘Nyco Tussah.’ Woven for durability, this fabric renders the Modular Jacket water repellent and lends it a crisp outer shell.
This new reimagining of the Modular Jacket contains many of the utility directed features that have made this item so sought after. This jacket comes equipped with too many flap pockets to mention in detail (10 in total) as well as several zip pockets on the garment’s front. These pockets are not only engineered for utility (though they offer complete functionality), but also for the unique aesthetic that such commitment to utility generates, with curved flaps on the patch pockets and both horizontal and vertical zip pockets lending the Modular Jacket its signature geometric and modular appearance.
Here in the black colourway, this relaxed-fit jacket also features velcro cuffs, spec name woven on the left sleeve pocket, stand up collar, and the WTAPS woven flag label on the front.
